Job Overview:
Our client, a leading retail organisation, is looking for an EUC Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain the operational models, processes, and procedures required to support and enhance their IT systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about technology and IT operations, with a focus on providing robust solutions for business continuity and operational excellence.
You will play a key role in managing enterprise-scale IT environments, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and continued development across critical IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, Modern Device Management, and M365 platform management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage operational models and procedures to ensure the efficient support and maintenance of IT systems.
- Administer and manage Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GPO) to ensure secure and efficient user access and configuration management.
- Take responsibility for Modern Device Management, including the management of Windows 10/11 and mobile devices using tools like Intune and SCCM.
- Manage and support the M365 platform, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Office 365 services.
- Package and deploy software via Intune and SCCM for a large-scale environment.
- Provide expert guidance on EUC (End User Computing) issues, troubleshooting complex problems, and working with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.
- Establish and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhancement of the user experience.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop strategies that enhance security, compliance, and efficiency across the IT infrastructure.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an EUC Engineer, Desktop Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on user device management and systems administration.
- In-depth experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Administration.
- Hands-on expertise with Modern Device Management (MDM) tools, particularly Intune and SCCM.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform, including security and administration of Microsoft services (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, etc.).
- Experience in packaging and deploying software via SCCM and Intune in large enterprise environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong documentation and process development skills, ensuring clarity and adherence to best practices.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across various business functions and IT teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals)
- Experience in retail or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
