Milestone IT has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Wintel engineer to join this community focussed business located in Melbourne CBD.
Initially, for 4 months, but with the potential for extension, we are seeking someone who is looking to work on a large scale project.
Provide operational management for existing Active Directory and Exchange Server environment.
Responsibilities
- Create, configure, manage, secure and troubleshoot all existing Active Directory and Exchange Server environment, security and compliance policies, including but not limited, to Active Directory and Exchange Server environment
- Maintain existing Active Directory and Exchange Server environment architecture
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues or malfunctions and provide user support
- Manage the directory services across a variety of Windows servers
- Monitor system, verify the integrity and availability and verify completion of scheduled jobs
- Assist where required with the migration to O365
- Provide regular reporting and analysis of existing Active Directory and Exchange Server environment usage and recommendations for better practices (that relate, but not limited to, security, compliance, governance and usability)
- Deliver a consistent process for incident and problem escalation along with resolution
- Administer and support system backup and disaster recovery processes
- Perform data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss
Qualifications & Experience required:
- 5 years Microsoft infrastructure deployment and operational support experience
- Strong Level 3 Wintel experience
- Proven success managing enterprise scale Citrix & VMWare environments
- Expert AD/LDAP, ADFS skills
- Public Key infrastructure experience
- Hitachi Storage
- VMWare VCP
- Hands on experience with Exchange, Skype for Business, SCOM and Powershell
- Exchange and O365 administration experience
- Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service
- ITIL Foundations v3 Certification
- Strong scripting skills to support automation efforts (Powershell)
