Our client is a large well respected commercial business based in Melbourne CBD who is looking a Project Support Officer to join the Project Office in a leading support capacity. This is an initial 6 month contract with further extension for the right candidate.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Provide high level executive and administration support to their manager and other senior managers where required or as requested by their manager, to support the achievement of good governance, probity and ethical behaviour.
- -Raise requisitions on behalf of Operations Delivery in accordance with procurement policies.
- Receipt invoices on behalf of Operations Delivery.
- Coordinate and collate weekly/fortnightly/monthly financial and project reports
- Coordinate accounting data and gather information on financial matters to ensure project costs are considered in a financially responsible manner.
- Enhance the efficiency of the Division/Program/Unit by ensuring that comprehensive documentation management and smooth workflow is maintained through the Office and that deadlines are met.
Key outcomes:
- Information integrity and governance for the Reporting Framework.
- Actively coordinate the project assurance processes, artefacts and governance to ensure compliance and true reflection of project status.
- Manage the continuous improvement process to ensure Planning and Delivery are improving the project maturity level.
Experience required:
- Microsoft Office applications (work,excel, ppoint, visio, sharepoint, etc.)
- Training/Change management concepts-implementation.
- Knowledge of basic project management principles
- A good understanding of IT would be an advantage due to the nature of the work
