My client, a high profile organisation is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect on contract.
The role involves the following;
· The Solutions Architect, in partnership with the Enterprise Architect, develops and maintains the key architectural reference material supporting both strategic planning and project delivery for ICT applications and infrastructure.
· Building strong relationships across the organisation, Technology Services and the vendor community is vital to ensuring ICT investment is aligned to the organisational vision , supports the Technology Strategy and takes advantage of emerging technologies.
Key Result Areas
· Support the Enterprise Architecture to assess potential solutions and facilitate the development of Solution Architectures that ensure projects are comprehensively scoped and aligned to the target architecture.
· Maintenance and development of key reference architecture artefacts (incl. Application Integration model, Conceptual Information Model)
· Develop and support optimal data architecture and practice within Technology Services to ensure projects are conceived, designed and developed in line with organisational architecture principles and strategic direction of the organisation.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience (Selection Criteria)
· Proven ability in developing Solution Architecture artifacts (reference models, viewpoints, roadmaps, requirement specifications) in large scale environments (i.e. geographically dispersed, multi-organisational, web scale).
· Experience in architecting secure web environments (content management systems, API driven content) and integrated corporate systems (especially HR). These are the primary focus of the role.
· Working knowledge of mainstream and next generation data platforms (MS SQL suite, Qlik, Tableau, Hadoop, Hive, Splunk, Spark, Cassandra) high desirable
· Expert knowledge of, and experience applying, the TOGAF methodology in complex organisations.
To provide solution architectures for various projects with initial focus on solutions for HR modernisation and Web redevelopment.
