The Project Manager ensures that the project is delivered on time, to budget, within the agreed scope, manages the risks and to the required quality standard.
The Project Manager is also responsible for managing the work of external vendors/consultants, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure success of the project by managing risks and minimising their impact
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan.
- Create project documents and reports to ensure there are detailed implementation plans for the project
- Manage and monitor progress and performance of project plan milestones and deliverables.
- Record and manage project issues, ensuring mitigation actions are identified, implemented and escalated where necessary.
- Assist in scoping and assessing Health systems and selection of Vendors
- Oversee and undertake the commercial, contract development process and negotiation activities with the external vendor to ensure the contract accurately reflects the requirements of the project.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in (a) similar role(s) - Information Technology(Health Care highly regarded)
- Past success with mid to large Infrastructure projects.
- Public or Private Healthcare experience as a Project Manager is essential
- Ability to multitask and be across multiple projects simultaneously is key to be successful in this position
- Experience in providing effective leadership to wider project teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - internal teams, users and vendors
- Relevant tertiary qualification(s) and industry certification(s) - (Prince2, PMBOK. Dip PM)
- Current driver’s license
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
