Infrastructure Engineer
Our client, a keen infra coder to assist in making the organisations platform more reliable and more agile. They require someone keen to stay abreast of latest technology developments.
Responsibilities and Duties
Supporting the infrastructure platform
Participating in incidents, troubleshooting and post-incident analysis
Providing innovative solutions to complex business problems
Document and maintain
Improve the efficiency and reliability of the platform
Work closely with the Development and other engineering teams
Essential Experience
- Good sounding knowledge Linux or Unix (*NIX environments) and Windows servers.
- VMWare ESXi Administration or other Hypervisor environment (XEN, REV, or HyperV) administration
- Infrastructure Automation, build automation
- Configuration management experience (Puppet preferred)
- Good communicator able to work, share knowledge and add value in a cross functional team
- Experience in monitoring and graphing system performance
- Microsoft SQL or Oracle DB knowledge
- iSCSI or Fibre channel SAN storage management and administration
Beneficial Experience
- Telephony / ISDN (BRI or PRI)
- Amazon Web services / S3
- Strong Backup system knowledge (Commvault)
- Networking / Firewall Administration
- Routing (OSPF and BGP)
- DNS
- Understanding of SIP/Voice
- Genesys understanding would be nice but not a requirement
